Our Vows
Kelly and I wrote our own vows and shared them in front of family and friends under the guidance of our celebrant and great friend, Brent Godfrey.
Kelly’s vows
Matt, I wonder how could I possibly explain all the love that I have for you and all the things that I love about you to someone. It would take an eternity.
If there’s one thing you’ll always remember of our relationship as we sail through many more moons - I will carry you with me.
You are the someone I wish to wake up to every morning and fall asleep to every night. Even the smallest moments feel so special because I am with you.
Thank you for choosing me.
I promise to always love you. To forgive you, to honor you and to always cherish you. I mean it when I say you really are the best part of my day. You’re always there to help me see the good and remind me that everything will be okay.
I promise to continue asking you the words “have I told you how much I love you today?”
I promise to fill our home with new memories, sounds of laughter and great, great love.
I promise to always have faith in you.
I promise to always be your best friend, to be your partner for life and to always respect our differences as individuals.
I promise to support you through life’s challenges, wonder with you about life’s mysteries and celebrate with you through life’s joys.
I promise to continue our journey together and to never give up.

Matt’s vows
Kelly, your love fills me. It transforms. It becomes any love that I’m blessed enough to give to you and to others. It is a small unnoticed kindness, a good listen, a deep laugh that leaves me sore. It is also the blissful empty presence when we’re most connected. It is the sense of grace I experience in the breathtaking presence of ordinary people I call loved ones.
